Giacomo Puccini’s famous opera revolves around Cio-Cio San, a young Japanese geisha who is carelessly tossed aside by her American naval lover, Pinkerton. The opera is full of soaring melodies and glorious orchestra music that trace Cio-Cio San’s passion, abandonment, and eventual downfall.
Sung in Italian, with English projected supertitles.
