The Barber of Seville
Count Almaviva, a Spanish nobleman, is desperately
in love with the lovely Rosina whom he has only seen from afar.
When Figaro, the town barber appears, the two men plot to bring
about the Count's introduction to Rosina. She is strictly watched
by her guardian, Doctor Bartolo, who himself plans to marry his
ward, since she has both beauty and money. As the plot unfolds,
general chaos and comedy ensue including a "drunken" brawl,
a thunderstorm, and a lost letter. In the end, the Count ends
up winning the heart of Rosina, and the greedy Bartolo ends up
with money in the bank.
